Queensland hosted the recent meeting of the National Small Business Commissioners network in Brisbane on 15 September 2017, as well as a joint industry roundtable discussion. The Roundtable was hosted by the Honourable Leeanne Enoch MP, Minister for Innovation, Science and the Digital Economy and Minister for Small Business, and attended by the Federal Regulatory Agency Group and representatives of the QSBAC and Better Regulation Taskforce.
Within Queensland, the Small Business Champion is a member of the QSBAC, charged with providing advice and solutions about significant small business issues to its Chair, Minister Enoch. QSBAC meetings have been held in Brisbane and Yeppoon in 2017.
The Small Business Champion also represents the views of Queensland small business on the Procurement Industry Advisory Group, chaired by the Minister for Housing and Public Works.
